FAQ

What is Plumbing?

Plumbing is a system of pipes installed in a building or home for the distribution of clean water for consumption and the removal of dirty contaminated water. A plumber installs or repairs piping systems, plumbing fixtures and equipment. Faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, water heaters and backflow preventers are all items that a plumber would install or repair. Plumbers will also install gas piping and repair gas leaks. The word “plumbing” is derived from the Latin word for lead — plumbum. This is because plumbing pipes used be made from lead.
