What are the pros and cons of tankless water heaters?

Tanked water heaters are the least expensive style of water heater to install and maintain. If sized correctly, they will provide plenty of hot water for you and your families needs. Eventually tanked heaters will leak and need to be replaced. We recommend all tanked heaters to be installed in a drip pan. Tankless water heaters are getting better every year. Their main selling point is that they will provide an endless supply of hot water–if sized correctly. Tankless water heaters require annual maintenance that is not easy for the typical homeowner to perform and much more expensive to install.
