Why did my pipes freeze?
Pipes freeze because they are not insulated well enough from extremely cold temperatures. Pipes that are on outside walls of a home or building are most susceptible to freezing. When cold temperatures are predicted, we recommend that you allow water to slowly trickle from the faucet where the pipes usually freeze. Moving water requires much colder temperatures to freeze solid. If your drain line usually freezes, you should refrain from using the drain until the temperatures moderate.
