Heating & Furnace Installation
Each home heating situation is different. When it is time for a new furnace or boiler in your home, the expert technicians at Levine & Sons are here to help you make the right choice. None of our technicians work on commission, and if you don’t need it, we won’t advise you to buy it.
All of our technicians are NATE certified, and in addition to receiving rigorous initial training—both in the field and in the shop—they each receive 40 additional hours of training per year. We have also invested in the tools needed to properly care for your home. Our technicians will never attempt to sell you a quick fix; rather, they’ll fix the problem once and for all.
There are three basic classes of furnace that we can help you choose from:
Traditional Models – These are basic models for the budget consumer. They cost less at the outset, but are less efficient than other selections. In addition, they require a chimney to vent exhaust gases. You may want to purchase power vent models to vent gases out through a sidewall, but they are more costly.
Multi-Stage Blowers – Furnaces are purchased by size and must be large enough to work in the coldest of months. Most of the time they do not need to be running at full volume. Multi-stage blowers provide an easy solution. With lesser models, the furnace is either off or on. Multi-stage furnaces are able to regulate how much gas is used and the amount of hot air expelled – just like the fan selector in your car. Multi-stage blowers are able to work at a reasonable percentage of their peak output, saving you money and providing you with an evenly heated home.
High Efficiency Furnaces – High efficiency furnaces work like multi-stage furnaces, but to a much greater degree of control. They regulate heat output at mere 1% increments. These “smart” furnaces communicate with the thermostat to bring you comfort, control and extra savings. They are slightly more costly at the outset, but save money over the long run.
