Bathroom humor is the greatest kind of humor. It offers shock value, nausea and a chance to see people at their most vulnerable moment…the total package! If potty humor grosses you out, this blog isn’t for you. But if you’ve got the stomach for it, here are the 5 funniest bathroom scenes in movie history.
Reader discretion is advised…
1. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
“Who Does Number 2 Work For?” Of all of Austin Powers’ memorable lines, this one stands out the most. Austin is sitting on the toilet when one of Dr. Evil’s assassins enters through a hidden door. Austin takes control of the battle and blurts out the classic line. He’s trying to get info about “Number 2,” Dr. Evil’s partner in crime. Of course, the guy in the stall next to Austin has no way of knowing this.
2. Dumb and Dumber (1994)
A classic case of wrong place at the wrong time. While Harry is pumping gas, Lloyd hits the bathroom stall. He’s going about his business when the crazy man he screwed at a gas station earlier in the movie barges in. The hulking man is getting ready to pummel Lloyd when Harry charges in to extinguish a fire on his foot, knocking out the bad guy and saving Lloyd from a vicious beating.
3. There’s Something About Mary (1998)
One of the funniest movie scenes of the nineties, if not ever. After using the toilet before his prom date, Ted – the lovably awkward protagonist – makes a terrible mistake pulling up his zipper. Shrieking in pain, people pile into the bathroom to investigate. What they find is something truly horrifying, but pure comic gold. The only drawback? We still don’t know if we were looking at “the frank or the beans.”
4. Wedding Crashers (2005)
After a long day of getting pummeled on the football field, Jeremy’s crazy flame, Gloria, tries caring for him in a very unorthodox…perhaps even psychotic…manner.
5. Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
Perverted high school freshmen crawl through the ventilation system in the girl’s locker room, hoping to catch a peak at some arousing action. What they find when hovering above the girl’s bathroom is just the opposite.
