Levine and Sons continues to be above and beyond in service, customer service and interactions, especially explaining the situation and providing options without being "salesy." Being able to speak with their staff, on the office and when they're here at my home, I feel I learn more about the items in my home and their repairs, and I feel that I am appreciated as a customer and a person. 10 years with Levine and Sons and I have not regretted it yet, and I have no intentions of working with anyone else. 10/10 lifetime customer.

You should have your air ducts cleaned and inspected for repairs every three to five years. This will help ensure that the quality of the air inside your home improves. Cleaning your air ducts will eliminate mold, rodent droppings, dust, debris, and dirt. Having routine maintenance performed by Levine & Sons professionals on your HVAC system will help prevent needed repairs and greatly lengthen the lifespan of your system.
Call Levine & Sons immediately to have a heating repair expert take care of your furnace if you notice that the ignition light is malfunctioning, the motor is showing signs of disrepair, the thermostat is faulty, and/or the furnace flame sensor does not detect flames properly.
HVAC and furnace repair costs vary depending on the specific issues with the system. If you’re experiencing problems with your furnace, call Levine & Sons to have a heating expert offer you a free price quote and get your system repaired and working properly again. If you are looking to save money on furnace repairs, the best way to save money is to help avoid the problem in the first place by having regular maintenance done on your furnace by Levine & Sons professionals. This will greatly reduce issues with your furnace and greatly increase your furnace’s lifespan.
Most importantly, if the carbon monoxide detector that is attached to your furnace goes off, turn your furnace off immediately, open the windows around your house, and call us immediately. Carbon monoxide leaks are extremely dangerous and can result in death if not dealt with immediately.
Is your home unable to sustain a comfortable temperature? This is an indicator that your furnace may be experiencing issues that will require a professional repair soon. When your furnace is not able to provide adequate heating, it’s usually due either to leaking ductwork or a thermostat issue. In either situation, you will need to contact our team for professional assistance.
The average lifespan of a furnace is between 15 and 20 years, depending on how well it has been maintained. As your furnace ages, it can run into power issues which may result in difficulty starting up. If you are needing to restart your furnace throughout the day, you will need to call our pros for repair. If your furnace is older, this can sometimes call for a full replacement.
If you’ve been noticing strong, gassy odors coming from your furnace, there may be a gas leak due to excess dust build-up. If you smell abnormal smells emitting from your furnace, make sure to call our pros at (248) 919-5462 to have your furnace assessed.
Your furnace is naturally a loud operation, but in the event something is wrong with the unit, it can produce odd banging or whistling noises as a result. If your furnace is making abnormal noises, call us right away to diagnose the issue and repair your unit.
The pilot light color on your furnace should always be a blue tint. If your furnace’s pilot light is a different color, particularly yellow, you need to call us right away. A yellow pilot light means there is a ventilation problem within the unit. The color changes from blue to yellow when carbon monoxide and other gasses do not dissipate correctly. This can cause a carbon monoxide leak in your house which is particularly dangerous. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer as it is both colorless and odorless. If your pilot light is not blue, do not wait until it’s too late, schedule a repair immediately.
Is your home consistently dusty no matter how frequently and thoroughly you clean it? This could be due to your furnace and HVAC system. If your furnace is not properly maintained, it can cause a buildup of excess dust, dirt, and other bacteria that will blow throughout the rest of your home. This is why it is always important to have a yearly furnace tune-up. If you or someone in your family is prone to allergies, asthma, or other respiratory issues, poor air quality can cause serious health effects, so make sure to repair your furnace to avoid any negative health consequences.
