In the event of a bad storm, the electricity might not be available so a generator is the only thing that can help stop the flood. Make sure your generator has enough power to at least run the necessities in your home for 5-7 days.
Plumbing Inspection
Some floods are not weather related at all. In fact, the majority of floods are caused by plumbing malfunctions that could have easily been avoided. Frozen, clogged or cracked pipes can cause pressure build ups throughout a plumbing system that will lead to floods in multiple areas of your home.
